In response to those who criticized Reese for being problematic or overrated, especially after she was suspended from the team for a fight with a player in the locker room, she scored 20 points and pulled down 17 rebounds.

5575 witnessed her and her NCAA teammates handily upset the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Coleman Coliseum; yet, the victory was not without difficulty, as they won by a 20-point margin. Halftime saw Reese’s team behind 35–34. Reese and Flau’jae Johnson scored nine points in a row to bring them back in the game, but it could have been much worse.

However, they had a very strong third quarter (26–10) that saw them seize control of the game. In addition, they prevailed 18–13 in the last quarter to leave the venue with their most recent victory on January 19.

After losing 67-62 to the Auburn Tigers on January 14 and trailing by six points in the fourth quarter, the win was much-needed.

Morrow and Reese shine

As previously indicated, Reese was performing to the typical level that has seen NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal advise her in her nascent career, but Aneesah Morrow was the other person making waves.

After just joining the Tigers, Morrow and the All-American forward hit it off, blowing away the Crimson Tide’s defense in front of their home crowd.

They proved to be too much for anyone to handle, scoring 40 points and grabbing 28 rebounds between them. Like Reese, Morrow finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. This is the 12th time this season that she has achieved the feat.
