The rest of the NBA is merely a part of Victor Wembanyama’s reality.

Winners, good morning. Hello and welcome back to the Morning Win. Thank you for rocking out with us this morning. We appreciate what you’ve done.On Thursday night, NBA fans were in for a real treat. Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Victor Wembanyama was everything we expected and then some. To be honest, it felt like a fever dream. It was incredible to see those two go back and forth in the final moments of the game.Wembanyama has an unbelievable block one second and then hits a trailing 3-pointer the next. Okay, fine. Giannis then does the Space Jam dunk all over someone. OK. WOW. WEMBY then obstructs GIANNIS.

Nobody has ever made Giannis Antetokounmpo look…small. That is, until I saw this. What a fantastic play, man. We knew Wemby was unique. We’ve been talking about it for a year and a half. This guy has the capacity to absolutely upend the basketball world. He does things he shouldn’t be able to do.But what about when he does things like that? Man. So, what should you do? The Bucks won, but he left Giannis speechless with his performance.”He’s special,” Antetokounmpo said after the game. “I’ve never seen anything like him before…The sky is the limit as long as you work hard and have a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the game, whatever he desires will come true.”

NBA

That’s an excellent way of putting things. We’ve never seen anybody that huge be so talented and well-rounded. We’ve seen tall men block shots before. But when was the last time we saw someone this big backdoor someone like Steph Curry? Or should you take the ball across the world and then slam it?No? I didn’t believe so. This guy is insane. The rest of the NBA should win as many championships as they can while they can. Because what if this guy figures it out? It’s just curtains.Connor Bedard was selected an NHL All-Star for the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. With this revelation, the rookie becomes the NHL’s youngest player to be named to an All-Star team, at 18 years and 171 days old. Bedard is the game’s youngest selection since Jeff Skinner in 2011.For some, this may be a contentious choice. The Blackhawks are 11-24-2 and in last place in the Central Division. They’re not very excellent. It’s not even close. But Bedard has been fantastic. He has 33 points (15 goals and 18 assists) in 37 games. Despite his team’s lack of quality, he’s managed to pull off quite a few of those 11 victories with truly brilliant moves.

Some may argue that this selection is motivated only by the NHL’s desire to have him as its new face. And, guess what? Perhaps this is one of the reasons. But, no. Give him some credit. This guy is insanely talented. He’ll be around for a long time in this game. It’s best to get used to it.For many years, the Orlando Magic’s only retired number was No. 6. Why? Because it represents the team’s fans, the 6th man. That is, indeed, exceedingly cheesy. That everything changed on Thursday. The Magic announced that Shaquille O’Neal’s No. 32 jersey would be retired in the rafters. Shaq learned this live on TV and had the cutest reaction. More from Cory Woodruff can be found here.”This is just such an awesome moment for O’Neal and Magic fans everywhere,” Cory wrote in an email. “Perhaps the best player to ever play for the franchise will finally be immortalized in Orlando history.” O’Neal will wear No. 32 for the rest of his career.”

NBA

Monstars now dominate the NBA, and Nikola Jokic is one of them. This guy is insane. Banking in a game-winning shot from that distance against the Warriors? That’s difficult, man.The finest part, however, was his reaction to Charles Barkley on the shot. “It went in, my friend.” “I’m content.” EL OH EL — I’m sure you’ve seen the buzz about the Stanley x Starbucks Tumblers. Man. I used to think sneakers were horrible. More from Charles Curtis can be found here.— Meghan Hall argues that the NCAA’s new agreement with ESPN may harm the Women’s Basketball Tournament. More information can be found here.— Gregg Popovich summed up Wemby’s outstanding performance perfectly. More from Cory Woodruff can be found here.— From Christian D’Andrea, here are the seven most important games with playoff implications this weekend in the NFL.That’s all there is to it, guys! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this today! We appreciate what you’ve done. Have a wonderful weekend. Love and peace. Be careful out there! We out.
