Despite having received more awards than any other NFL player, Tom Brady’s most valued title is “Dad” to his children.

The NFL quarterback is a father of three children. He notably announced his retirement from football in March 2022 and then again in February 2023. With his former girlfriend, the actress Bridget Moynahan, he has a son named John “Jack” Edward Thomas. He also has two children, Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake, with his former wife, Gisele Bündchen.

Brady and Bündchen separated on October 28, 2022, following a 13-year union. The former couple consented to share custody of Vivian and Benjamin. Brady will reside in Tampa, while Bündchen is expected to stay in Miami, according to a source.

Brady released a statement on Instagram not long after the divorce rumours surfaced. “We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way,” he wrote in a letter.

Brady, Bündchen, and Moynahan have been transparent about motherhood, co-parenting, and living in a mixed family over the years. To give his all for his family and team, Brady has even had to modify his work-life balance.

Brady and Moynahan had a romantic connection from 2004 to 2006. The Blue Bloods actress disclosed that she had became pregnant prior to their breakup shortly after their 2006 breakup. John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan was born in Santa Monica, California, on August 22, 2007, to coparents.

Before Jack was born, Brady was anxious about the “challenge” of parenthood, but he has since accepted the position completely. When Brady was a player for the New England Patriots, he resided in Massachusetts; but, after signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he moved to Florida. Additionally, he stays in touch with Jack in New York City, where he resides with Moynahan and her spouse, Andrew Frankel.

Moynahan and Bündchen have both openly talked about their blended families and co-parenting. When Moynahan found out she was pregnant, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel admitted to PEOPLE in 2018 that she had already started dating Brady, which “wasn’t the ideal situation” for them. Brady and Bündchen tied the knot in February 2009, and on December 8, 2009, they welcomed Benjamin Rein, their first child, into the Boston area.

Brady was first dubious of their son’s home delivery, but the couple discussed it in the ESPN+ series Man in the Arena: Tom Brady. After a while, he warmed up to the idea and said, “It’s always in my memory to be there with G when he was born at our house. I believe we had the most exquisite manner of bringing this boy into the world.”

Your infant will eventually grow to be as tall as you are. You won’t be prepared for it either.”

On December 5, 2012, the couple welcomed Vivian Lake into the world in Boston. Brady said to ESPN a few days after her birth, “I grew up in a house with three sisters.
