Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark have expressed their emotions about becoming WNBA colleagues.

Iowa's Caitlin Clark, a standout in women's basketball, is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft, potentially joining Aliyah Boston at the Indiana Fever.

The Fever secured the top spot in the 2024 WNBA draft lottery for the second consecutive year, giving them the chance to make another first-overall selection on April 15.

Clark and Boston previously played together on the Team USA Under-19 national team, winning a gold medal.

Boston, selected as the No. 1 pick by the Fever last year, had a successful rookie season, earning WNBA All-Star status and Rookie of the Year honors.

Before the draft lottery, Clark and Boston discussed the possibility of reuniting as teammates, expressing mutual interest in playing together again.

Despite being the projected No. 1 pick, Clark has the option to stay at Iowa for a fifth college season due to the COVID-19 waiver, allowing players to retain eligibility.

Clark emphasized the special nature of her college experience and expressed uncertainty about her WNBA decision, focusing on enjoying every moment of her senior year.

Clark is currently a key player for Iowa, averaging 29.6 points per game and leading the team to a strong 11-1 overall record and a top-four national ranking.
