Browns Getting Praised For Classy Joe Flacco Move

The Cleveland Browns made the announcement earlier this week that starting quarterback Joe Flacco will be relieved of his duties for the weekend.

In Week 18, the Browns have nothing to play for because they are already guaranteed the fifth seed in the American Football Conference.

The Browns will be resting a significant number of their starters on Sunday because their seeding would not be affected by either a win or a defeat.

It was unfortunate for Flacco because this meant that he would not be able to collect the $75,000 bonus that he was eligible to get for playing more than fifty percent of the team's snaps in Week 18.

No need to be concerned, however, since the Browns took care of him. The Browns reportedly turned the incentive into a roster bonus, as reported by Field Yates of ESPN.

"Browns QB Joe Flacco's deal includes a $75K incentive for each game he plays 50% of the snaps and the team wins," according to Yates.

Due to the fact that Flacco would be giving himself a day off tomorrow, the management decided to convert that incentive into a seventy-five thousand dollar bonus for being on the 53-man roster. Not a bad move on Cleveland's part."

A matchup between Cleveland and one of the three clubs in the AFC South is scheduled. There is a possibility that the division championship might be won by the Houston Texans, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
