Celtics Have Liked $35 Million Two-Time Champion ‘For a While’: Report

The Boston Celtics, who have one open roster place, may be looking for further aid. Especially with their frontcourt. 

Whether they get it or not, according to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer, the Celtics have a soft spot for one of the Toronto Raptors' big men.

Fischer admits that acquiring this guy would be difficult for the Celtics."I know the Celtics have liked Chris Boucher for a long time." He has a net worth of $11.7 million. 

According to Basketball on X, Fischer informed Dan DeVine on January 6 that "you're going to have to give up someone good to get someone good."

According to Basketball-Reference, Boucher has averaged 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 32 games while shooting 46.9% from the floor. Boucher is in the second year of a three-year contract worth $35 million. 

He has two championships, one with the Golden State Warriors in 2018 and one with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

This season, the Raptors have made significant adjustments, including the trade of OG Anunoby for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. 

With a record of 14-21, they are now the Eastern Conference's No. 12 seed. Boucher might become available if the Raptors decide to pull it down further. However, as Fischer pointed out,
