Clyde Drexler argues GOAT debate isn't just about MJ, LeBron, and Kobe: "You talk about them because they're current"

Clyde Drexler is one of the few NBA stars who has never been a fan of GOAT discussions, much less disputes. For "Clyde The Glide," they all deserve credit for their achievements.

However, it is unjust to himself and the greatest players of the past to only name Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant in the GOAT debate.

"If you remove me out of the picture, they're among the greatest 50 players of all time.

When asked to rank Jordan, LeBron, and Kobe in 2013, Drexler replied, "Those guys are all phenomenal, but you talk about them because they're current."

"But when you look at someone like Oscar Robertson, you don't underestimate him. He was great.

Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell were the best basketball players of all time. Who is better than Wilt? He averaged 50 points and 25 rebounds each game.

"No one has ever done that, not even close!" "He led the league in assists the following year. Oscar Robertson also averaged a triple-double, scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Who has done that? So, who is better than those guys? No one! They just aren't playing today. Who is better than Larry Bird? Who is better than Doctor J?
