Deion Sanders' Colorado football program sees top recruit decommit amid disappointing 2023 season

The Colorado Buffaloes' season ended poorly, and it gets worse.

According to On3 Sports, four-star quarterback recruit Antwann Hill Jr. left Colorado on Sunday under Deion Sanders. Hill posted two prayer-hands emojis on his X account to confirm.

The Georgia high school football star told On3 Sports he was considering Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Texas A&M, Michigan, and Alabama.

“Colorado is still a top priority for me,” Hill told ESPN. "I just want to take my time and make the proper decision for me and my family.

I will return to the market and make the appropriate choice."

Colorado started 3-0 but finished 4-8. Sanders and the Buffaloes garnered national attention for most of the season, but successive losses ended it.

The last loss was Saturday night versus Utah. Colorado lost 23-17.

Sanders refused to pay prospects to come to Boulder before the Utes game. The 2024 recruiting class of Colorado ranks 65th, according to 247 Sports.
