On Sunday night, Luka Doncic played well against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The star player for the Dallas Mavericks was present on both sides of the court.
In addition to his 34 points, six rebounds, and eight assists, Doncic did a fantastic job guarding Karl-Anthony Towns in the post.
Towns' larger body over 6-foot-7 Doncic gives him a clear advantage in that battle, but Doncic did not back down.
Despite having 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, Towns had trouble while Doncic was defending him.
In response to his excellent play, even though he isn't considered a great defensive player, Doncic said.
He is "strong," pointing to his legs in particular, saying they are among the NBA's most "powerful" tandem.
Because of the Mavericks' undersized roster, Doncic was forced to cover KAT.
But Doncic is more suited to protecting bigger, stronger players because of his build.
