At the end of November, the Detroit Red Wings made a huge impression by signing three-time Stanley Cup winner Patrick Kane.
And there's a chance the team can yet get better there.
As of late, the Wings have been in trade negotiations with many teams, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported on Friday.
Pagnotta said on NHL Tonight on the NHL Network, "Yeah, JT Compher also day-to-day and they've been exploring the market, even beyond the addition of Patrick Kane to get a sense, like a lot of teams are now."
"As the season goes on, guys are beginning to get an idea of what the marketplace is like and how it might change. as the trade deadline approaches."
However, they are a group that has been in trade talks and has been looking into certain options.
The Wings have been incredibly thin on personnel lately.
David Perron was recently given a six-game ban for a brutal cross-check on Artem Zub, the defenceman for the Ottawa Senators. Dylan Larkin and JT Compher are also out.
