Sam Hauser discusses Jordan Walsh's growth after returning home.

Sam Hauser went to Portland, Maine, on Thursday, the day before the Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 133–123.

With the win, the Celtics improved to 16–5, including 10-0 at TD Garden.

The quick forward got better at what he does in the G League in 2021–2022.

The parent club knew he was ready for a closer look when he got better there.

"That's where it all began," he said of his trip to the Pine Tree State after practice on Monday.

"Help the people who helped me get here." There are many good people up there, and it's always fun to be back and cheer for them.

Who knows, maybe we'll see a few people from that team up here in a couple of years.

Going back to see where you came from is always a good idea.
