Senator's Name Adopt Dave Poulin, a former TSN analyst, as GM Permanently

The front office of the Ottawa Senators is starting to take shape.

Steve Staios has been appointed to the position of General Manager and President of Hockey Operations, the club announced in a press release today.

Since Pierre Dorion left in November, Staios has served as the interim general manager; the temporary designation has now been removed.

Dave Poulin, a TSN analyst, has taken a position as Senior Vice-President of Hockey Operations in Ottawa, and Ryan Bowness will become an Associate General Manager.

Poulin has won the NHL Selke Trophy before as a player. He worked in Toronto's front office and was the head coach of Notre Dame for ten years.

Poulin and Bowness will be under Staios's supervision. After this afternoon's press conference at 4, there will be more.

Poulin, a Timmins, Ontario native, was the general manager of the Toronto Marlies, the team's American Hockey League affiliate, in addition to serving as vice- president of hockey operations for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2009 to 2014.

Most recently, he was a radio and television hockey analyst for TSN, where he covered the Senators and the NHL.
