Is Sony Making a New Movie, and Will It Connect to the MCU?

After reports of a new Sinister Six film from Sony surfaced, Marvel fans are wondering if the allegations are accurate and if this new film will connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the time of publication, Sony had not formally confirmed a Sinister Six film as part of its future film slate. A Sinister Six film, on the other hand, is highly likely.

According to semi-reliable source DanielRPK, Sony is now working on a Sinister Six picture in the style of an Avengers crossover event, with characters from the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU) teaming up.

Despite the lack of confirmation, a Sinister Six film is most likely in the works, as Sony has teased fans about it with projects like Morbius and the upcoming Kraven the Hunter film.

Despite being critically lambasted, the previous film's post-credits scenes indicated the possibility of a Sinister Six film when the MCU's Adrian Toomes/Vulture offered Morbius to join him

and also said that a group of individuals like them should team up.

Kraven the Hunter, who was a part of the squad in the comics, is then likely to tease the idea further.

Finally, everything regarding the film is currently rumor, so fans will have to wait for formal confirmation from Sony.

However, in Spider-Man: Homecoming's mid-credits sequence, Michael Mando's Mac Gargan told Adrian Toomes that he had people who could assist them in killing Spider-Man.

However, this story thread has yet to be explored, which may or may not occur given Toomes' Vulture's present involvement with the SSU following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
