The fantasy football award winners of the 2023 NFL season

I enjoy awards and award shows, even if they occasionally drive me insane. How did Forrest Gump beat out Pulp Fiction and Shawshank Redemption for Best Picture? In SB42, how did Eli Manning beat out Justin Tuck for Super Bowl MVP?

But it's the season for looking back and naming victors and losers, as well as handing away some hardware. Send your tuxedo to be cleaned and join us on the red carpet.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers, is the Fantasy Player of the Year. Headshot of Christian McCaffrey Christian McCaffrey O RB - SF - #23 2023 - 2024 SEASON 1,459 Yds 91.2 Y/G 5.4 YPC 14 TD 72 Long

Getting the top running back is the most important thing you can do for your fantasy chances, and that's especially true this year, when McCaffrey placed nearly 100 points between himself and the next-closest pursuer.

McCaffrey's role in a Kyle Shanahan scheme was just unfair, allowing him to post his best rushing efficiency (5.4 YPC) and surprising consistency on the goal line (touchdowns in 13 starts).

The one drawback to McCaffrey is that his worst game of the season (along with a minor injury) occurred in Week 17. Regardless, he drove numerous teams to the fantasy finals.

Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins: Fantasy Draft Pick of the Year Headshot of Raheem Mostert Raheem Mostert Q RB - MIA - #31 2023 - 2024 SEASON 1,012 Yds 67.5 Y/G 4.8 YPC 18 TD 49 Long

Mostert had a global ADP of roughly 115 at the end of the draft season, which may have appeared ambitious given that he was entering his age-31 season and coming off a good-but-not-great RB26 performance.
