Wife of Former Bills Veteran Sends Message Following Sudden Release

Veterans' Bills One of the most devastating farewells for the Buffalo Bills was the loss of guard Ike Boettger.

This season, Boettger, who has been with the Bills since 2018, did not make the active roster. He was, however, largely expected to be re-signed to the practice squad.

The editor-in-chief of Buffalo Fanatics, Zach Vaughn, stated on the website that "Boettger is gonna be on the PS or I'll be an animal's Uncle,"

while The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia stated that "it would not be a surprise" to see the veteran back on the practice squad, especially given that he is not subject to waivers. Waivers are not available for Boettger.

Boettger was not one of the 16 players added to the Bills' practice squad, despite the fact that the Bills did sign 16 players.

According to a post on Instagram by the guard's wife, Katie Boettger, the guard's stint at Orchard Park appears to have come to an end.

This is despite the fact that Buffalo will continue to make personnel changes during the season.

Katie shared a series of photos on Instagram with her husband and two girls dressed in Buffalo Bills gear on September 4. "We closed this chapter the last week, and as I sit here and reflect on our time there, all I truly think about is how lucky we've been!"
