The star player for the Memphis Grizzlies, Ja Morant, will soon make his comeback. After serving 24 of his 25-game suspension, James is eager to return to the court and assist his team in winning this season.
As he approaches his comeback, Morant has the backing of the Grizzlies great Marc Gasol in addition to his organization, teammates, and fan base. Gasol answered a message on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he received from the great point guard, who was wearing his trademark Ja 1 Nike sneakers:
Considering that Gasol is among the all-time great Grizzlies players and that Morant is obviously following in his footsteps, this exchange was incredibly interesting to see. Even after his playing days are over, Gasol still loves Memphis, and he’s happy to see Morant back on the court.
The Grizzlies have had a difficult season because in addition to dealing with Morant’s suspension, they have also had to cope with multiple injuries to important rotation players. The Grizzlies have stayed in the bottom half of the Western Conference while these ailments have mounted up.
Despite a difficult start to the season, the Grizzlies are hopeful that Morant’s return and a few other players’ may help them fight for the postseason.
