In July, the National Basketball Association superstars from the United States will play two games at the O2 Arena in order to hone their preparations for the Olympics. The United States of America will compete against South Sudan on July 20 and Germany on July 22 at the same location in south London where they secured the gold medal twelve years ago.
After that, the team will make a hasty trip to France in order to compete for a fifth consecutive gold medal at the Olympic Games. “We’ve had a great history with USA Basketball in London, winning the gold medal in the Olympic Games that were held there in 2012,” said Hill, the managing director of USA Basketball.
South Sudan and Germany, the current holders of the world championship, are two of the most formidable opponents we face. While we are on our way to France, we will have the opportunity to properly get ourselves ready and fine-tune our performance.
Despite the fact that there is a great deal of love, expectation, and enthusiasm for the game of basketball, the National Basketball Association, and basketball in the United States, London’s appeal also includes its close proximity to France.
